On March 5, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a telephone call to the Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin.
The Head of State congratulated Vladimir Putin on his convincing victory in the elections, wished him every success in the presidential activity.
Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for congratulation and attention.
During the phone talk, Presidents expressed satisfaction with successful development of relations between the two countries in various spheres, and expressed assurance that the bilateral ties would further strengthen.
President Ilham Aliyev invited Vladimir Putin to pay a visit to Azerbaijan at a convenient time.
