BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. Most of the Russian regions are interested in establishing long-term cooperation with Azerbaijan, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said at a press conference, Trend reports.
The ambassador said that there is great potential for the development of scientific cooperation between the two countries.
“The Azerbaijan-Russia relations are developing regularly and successfully in the political, trade, economic, and interregional sectors over the past 30 years,” the ambassador added.
Bocharnikov stressed that most of the Russian regions are interested in establishing long-term cooperation with Azerbaijan. Moreover, relations are developing in the humanitarian sphere.
“The joint events must be held in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations,” the ambassador said. “Numerous students leave for Russia upon the state quota every year.”
“There are also joint ties through the Moscow State Institute of International Relations,” Bocharnikov added. “We know that our partners are interested in the education of many Azerbaijani young people in Russia.”
