BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. A total of 74 mosques, more than 800 cemeteries, 993 educational institutions were destroyed in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur during Armenian occupation, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov said, Trend reports.
He made the remark at the "Architectural Heritage of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur. Problems of Restoration, Protection and Use" conference, held in Baku, on April 21.
There were about 750 cultural monuments in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, he said.
