A group of some 60 young people from Sumqayit began to gather near the building of Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party (PFAP) in Sahil park on Tuesday at about 12:00 am, Trend reports. They sounded different slogans against the chairman of the youth organization Yeni Fikir (“New idea”) Ruslan Bashirli, which is under arrest.
Besides, the group of intellectuals from Goychay district also took part in the meeting. They showed the same placards.
The action was quiet in the beginning. After shuttering slogans the protestors from Goichay attempted to attack on the PFAP building, while the attempts were prevented by the police.
