The year 2006 is very important for the peaceful negotiation process on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Both OSCE and the countries we represent do their utmost for conclusion of the peaceful agreement, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairman from the United States Steven Mann said in a statement upon his arrival in Baku.
He noted he had arrived in Baku after “having had very good talks with the president Kocharyan and the Foreign Ministry head Oskanyan in Erevan. В"Tomorrow (16 December) we suppose to hold a meeting with the head of Azerbaijan and the Foreign Minister, followed by the detailed information during the briefing”, Mann was quoted as saying.
The Russian co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov declined to comment the current progress of the negotiation process to journalists.
