The number of candidates who will ballot in the by-elections to the parliament on 13 May 2006 reached to 59 on Thursday, the Central Elections Commission (CEC) told Trend.
53 of 59 candidates, who have been registered at the CEC, took signature lists. 8 of them belong to the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, two Musavat, one Adalet, one Great Azerbaijan party, while the rest are no-party.
The majority of candidates were nominated from the Third Surakhani Constituency 31(19 people) and 9 from the Second Binagadi Constituency 9 (13 people). The least number of candidates were put forward from the Jalilabad-Bilasuvar-Masally constituency 69 (1 people).
