My non-participation in the by-elections to parliament on 13 May 2006 may be related to financial difficulties, Eldaniz Guliyev, the leader of the Azerbaijani Intelligentsia Movement, a co-constitutor of the New Policy block, told Trend.
Guliyev noted that he planned to ballot from Yasamal constituency 17, but it was not final decision. If I find source of financing for election campaign, Ill nominate my candidacy for MP. In case of my ballotting from this constituency, I must talk with Lala Shovkat Hajiyeva, the leader of the Naional Unity Movement, who was elected from this constiuency and then refused from mandate, he added. According to Guliyev, his goal is to receive her permission for this step.
Guliyev also stressed that the block will nominate only candidature of Samir Jafarov, the chairman of the National Act Party, from Binagadi district and Yagub Mammadov from the Gadabay region.
