Ukrainian President signs Law on ratification of agreement with Azerbaijan

Victor Ushenko, the Ukrainian President, signed the Law on ratification of agreement between the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the Azerbaijani government on labor activities and social security of the Ukrainian citizens temporarily working in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani citizens temporarily working in Ukraine, the press service of the Presidents Administration reports.

The agreement determined legal basis of placement and issue of social guarantees to migrant employees, who carry our labor activities on the base of preliminary permission and individual labor contract at the territory of the country.

In accordance with the agreement, the sides set mutual guarantees of defense of migrant employees and their families, apply national regime on protection of labor, taxation order, payment of tax and other collections, as well as ensure compensation of lost of capacity for by migrant employees under the national legislation of the country of employer. Sides acknowledge seniority of migrant employees, national diplomas and other documents on education.

The agreement also envisages ingress and egress, custom get-up of personal things and funds gained by migrant employees in accordance with the national legislation of sides.
