The next meeting of the Milli Mejlis on April 7 started with the discussion of the draft law on veterans, Trend reports.
The vice-chairman of the commission on social politics, Musa Guliyev has informed MPs on the given matter. He has stressed importance of introducing a number changes and supplements into the law. The given document has been submitted for revisal to MPs.
MP, Elmira Akhundova told about the difference among the benefits provided to veterans especially differences between the national heroes and Karabakh war veterans. She noted that all veterans, including Afghan ones should receive the similar benefits.
It was also mentioned that such phrases as fascist Germany and imperialist Japan have to be taken off the document. MP, Aydin Mirzazadeh has said that it is necessary to give all the veterans similat IDs.
