Work over the implementation of energy corridor of the century construction and fulfillment of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipelines is nearing to completion. The implementation of the project was possible only thanks to wise and far-sighted policy pursued by ex-Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev, who even in mid-1990 put forward an idea on the construction of the oil pipeline.
From the aspect of stability of the region and its development and integration in to the Euro-Atlantic organizations this oil pipeline assumes great importance.
