Ministry of Communication and IT of Azerbaijan drew an action plan for prevention of foreign channels intrusion in Azerbaijans air space, Trend reports quoting Ali Abbasov, Minister of Communication and IT.
Abbasov said the action plan will be delivered to all TV and radio companies in short.
I think the work the plan covers will help solve the problem. Free channels distribution in frontier areas is coordinated with neighbor countries. For instance, oral agreement is reached with Iran.
Minister said the equipment Azerbaijan wields (TV towers, transmitters, receivers) may ensure quality broadcasting of TV and radio channels across the republic, but they are outdated and cannot operate properly. The equipment upgrade operations will be performed.
В"These operations will be performed for Az.TV and Public Television at Ministry's cost, while private-owned TV and radio companies shall repay required expenses. However, they might be provided some discounts in this respect. First, we shall ensure air space protection and only then mutual paymentsВ", - Abasov concluded.
