The government did not receive Barmek Azerbaijan's note on unilateral breaking up the contract  Deputy Minister of Economic Development

The deadline Barmek set on breaking up the contract for managing networks in Baku, Sumgayit and northern areas of the country is today. Today first category consumers are in a$100mln debt to Barmek. The company may not suspend supplying these consumers, among which are Baku Subway, Azersu AO and other large governmental entities.

According to the contract, in early May Barmek delivered a letter for compensation of these amounts. In the event of failure to meet these requirements, 45 days after sending the notice the company has the right to break up the contract on a unilateral basis. All subsequent issues shall be resolved in the international court.

The Ministry of Economic Development did not receive such notice from Barmek Azerbaijan, Trend reports quoting Mikail Jabbarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
