Azerbaijani defense minister Safar Abiyev on July 7 received the new USA ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Darse. During the meeting of the familiarization character, Abiyev congratulated American diplomat on her new position, wishing her successes in her future activity, Trend reports.
In her turn, Anne Darse expressed her gratitude to Abiyev for a frank reception, noting that she will do her best to develop American-Azerbaijan relations.
The sides discussed the wide spectrum of the development of the bilateral cooperation in the defense sphere.
