Trade turnover and the areas of investments between Poland and Azerbaijan needs to be increased, Polish Minister of Economy Petr Voznyak told journalists after the first meeting of Polish-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission, Trend reports quoting the Azerbaijani Embassy in Poland. Voznyak called for Polish companies to take an active part in the trade-investment exhibition scheduled for November 2006 in Baku.
In response, the Azerbaijan Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev added that signing the protocol reflecting the issues, such as energy security and other issues of bilateral co-operation in the spheres of factory-farm complexes, tourism, transport, banking and financing, will contain a good base for the expansion of the co-operation between Poland and Azerbaijan.
After the press conference of the participants of the Inter-governmental Commission, a seminar was held, at which the representatives from Azerbaijan informed their Polish colleagues about the indicators of the political-economical development of the country and called them for close co-operation.
