As of 1 September, the number of subscribers amongst the inhabitants of Baku city has increased by 20,000, the Head of the Baku Head Gas Production Unit, Tahir Aliyev stated on 6 October, Trend reports.
Therefore, the gross number of Baku subscribers totaled 527,000. In addition, the number of the Unit subscribers includes 5,000 non-governmental commercial organizations and 1,500 budget and state organizations.
Presently the debts of Baku subscribers for the delivered gas amount to AZN 120 mln. The main debts are held by private houses owners, Aliyev said.
Today there are more than 3,000 private owners. More than 1,000 owners have debts. Nearly 623 of them have debts more than AZN 200. The gas delivery for 400 owners has been stopped.
At present the Unit has installed nearly 320,000 gas meters that form approximately 70%. By the end of the year, it is planned to fully complete the installation of the gas meters in Baku, Aliyev stated.
