Meeting between Heads of Azerbaijani-Georgian Intergovernmental Commissions for Boundaries` Delimitation and Demarcation to Be Held in Baku

Meetings between the Heads of the Intergovernmental Commissions of Azerbaijan and Georgia for delimitation and demarcation of the boundaries is expected to be held in baku in November 2006, Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister told today, trend reports.

He pointed out that the meetings with the Georgian working group for delimitation and demarcation of the boundaries are going on. There is a necessity in investigating and studying some sections of the frontiers, The Azerbaijan Deputy Minister stressed that the exact date of the meeting of the Heads of the Intergovernmental Commissions for the boundaries` delimitation and demarcation will be determined depending on these negotiations.

Mr. Khalafov also added that Ukraine proposed to discuss an issue on delimitating the Azerbaijani boundaries during the forthcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of CIS Member-States to be held in Minsk, and, for its part, to support this initiative, as it considers that the FSU countries` boundaries` delimitation should be completed as soon as possible.
