On October 16, the ceremony of laying the foundation of the park named after ex-Azerbaijani Heydar Aliyev was held in Ankara (Turkey), the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov told Trend.
The Ambassador added that the ceremony was attended by the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in Turkey and Azerbaijan, present and former members of the Turkish Parliament, Head of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Friendship Group, heads of the municipalities, the mayor of Ankara, students and representatives of the school named after Heydar Aliyev in Ankara.
Hashimov emphasized that the construction of the park will completed by April 2007.
