The Azerbaijani juvenile football team (U-19) won the Armenian U-19 team in the start match of the qualified tournament of the European Cup being held in Cyprus.
The first half of the match did not develop well for the team of Arif Asadov. Azerbaijan allowed a goal at 45th minute. However, in the second half of the match, the Azerbaijani juveniles pulled themselves together and managed to score 2 times into Armenian net, within the next eleven minutes. Our football-players have gained a significant victory. This victory allows Azerbaijani team to become the leader of their qualification group. The Azerbaijani football-players have a real opportunity to struggle for entering the next stage of the European Cup
Within its qualification group, the Azerbaijani team will also meet with the Hungarian U-19 and the hosts of the field the Cyprus team. Only after these matches, the teams that will succeed into the second round of the European Cup will be determined.
