The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Executive Committee reported that on 1 December 2006, Moscow will host a constituent assembly of the Financial and Banking Council of CIS (FBC CIS), Trend reports.
The establishment of FBC was initiated by the Foreign Trade Bank, the CIS Executive Committee, the Eurasian Bank for Development, the Interstate Bank and different banking bodies of CIS in a joint effort to increase the role of banks, exchanges and financial bodies in the process of economic co-operation between CIS member-states.
Attending the general meeting of the CIS FBC will be the Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary, Vladimir Rushaylo, bank leaders and the CIS banking association.
