The Ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan, Afshar Suleymani, informed Trend that the date of the official visit of the Chairman of the Iranian Parliament, Gulam Ali Haddad Adil to Azerbaijan is agreed through the diplomatic channels.
According to the Ambassador, official invitation has been forwarded to the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, and presently the exact date and the program of the visit are being agreed. The Iranian side awaits proposal from Azerbaijan regarding the date of the visit, the Ambassador said.
It should be mentioned that earlier, the visit had been planned for this year within the tour of the Speaker to the CIS countries, but afterwards, it was decided to make a separate visit to Azerbaijan.
During the visit, the Speaker is expected to discuss the prospects of the development of the inter-parliamentary co-operation with regards to the improvement of the legislation and unification of the laws with the international legislation. In addition, the parliamentarians will discuss the development of the bilateral, political, cultural and humanitarian relations.
