Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) reported that 41 people, illegally attempting to pass Azerbaijan's state borders were arrested in May 2007, as a result of measures held by the SBS.
Ten trespassers are the Azerbaijanis, 13 Iranians, 6 Afghans, 6 Russians, 5 Georgians and 1 citizen of the South African Republic.
Some 3 vessels and 7 boats of Russia were detained as a result of security check ups held along the Caspian Sea of Azerbaijan.
The fish nets 14,572 meters long and 10,995 fish facilities were found and confiscated in the Sea.
30 kg and 108.5g of drug were withdrawn from 9 people, as a result of struggle against illegal drug trafficking.
During the month 61 attempts of trafficking of drug valued at AZN 234,686, were prevented.
