Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr A. Aliyev / Diversification of energy supply sources is a concrete topic not only for Europe, but also for Azerbaijan itself, the Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kastutis Kudzmanas, reported on 23 July.
He noted that, in the event Azerbaijani oil going via the Odessa-Brody pipeline that would mean its transportation to Poland and Lithuania and onwards to Europe. Commenting on the Vilnius summit planned to be held in September the Ambassador said that the issues of energy security, foreign energy policy of the European Union and others would be discussed.
"Diversification of energy supply sources is a very real topic and I believe not only for Europe, but for Azerbaijan itself, which has become a very rich source of energy and can become a transit country both for Turkmen gas and Kazakh oil. Europe is very interested in these undertakings and is ready to render and is already rendering assistance in their implementation," he noted.
