550 Azeris Killed in Armenian Captivity

Azerbaijan Baku, 10 January /corr. Trend K. Zarbaliyeva/ Since the beginning of the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, more than 550 Azeris have been killed in the Armenian captivity. 104 women and 446 men have been killed, the State Commission on Hostages, POVs and Missing People stated.

As a result of the study conducted by the Working Group of the Commission last year, the fate of 231 men who were registered by the Commission as the missing people has been determined and their names are stricken out of the list. (79 of them alive, 75 died, 77% whose names were repeated).

The number of missing people, those who have been taken as the prisoners and hostages made up 4354 men. 3503 of them are the military men and the rest 841 are the civilians. 47 out of the civilians are children (16 of them are girls of under age), 268 - women and the rest 371 are the aged persons. 1393 men were released from the captivity. Out of which, 43 are women, 1050 men, 168 children and 289 the aged persons.
