Turkey’s Tekfen Construction company will build a new highway in Qatar, Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) said in a message posted on its website Aug. 23.
The message said that an agreement was signed between Tekfen Construction and Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
The project’s cost is estimated at $2.1 billion.
The highway’s length will be 34 kilometers, according to the message, and the project also envisages the construction of crossings and underground passages.
Under the contract, the company must build the highway within 36 months from the date of signing the contract.
