BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Delays in non-cash payments through Russian banks to Azerbaijan may be due to the tightening of compliance requirements from foreign correspondent banks, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) told Trend.
According to the CBA, the delays may also be caused by sanctions imposed by foreign countries on Russian banks amid the current geopolitical situation.
Russian businessmen have faced long delays in transferring funds to the bank accounts of their partners in Azerbaijan, which could last a month or longer.
