BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. Turkish MEXT Technology Center and KocDigital companies and Azerbaijan’s AzerGold CJSC plan to develop proposals for further cooperation prospects for automation and digitalization of activities with the use of innovative solutions and modern technologies, the press service of AzerGold told Trend.
Turkish MEXT Technology Center and KocDigital are representing the Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (UCTEA).
According to press service, representatives of the Chamber visited the plant in the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area of AzerGold in Azerbaijan’s Dashkasan region. The purpose of the visit was to study the possibilities of automation of production processes at the Chovdar gold mine, familiarization with current technologies and expansion of business contacts.
The sides exchanged views on the improvement of the electronic database for geotechnical monitoring, drilling and other works, and centralized process management, during the meeting held at the administrative building of the plant.
Mechanisms of influence on such factors as quality, cost, and efficiency through digitalization and optimization of the production process were also discussed during the meeting.
Guests got acquainted with the mining of oxidized ores in the sulfide phase at the Chovdar mine, the mining processes in an ore storage facility, the existing material and technical base of the enterprise, and conditions created at the factory and in the laboratory.
The delegation of AzerGold CJSC visited the Oksut gold mine in Turkish Kayseri province, in May this year, where AzerGold got acquainted with the engineering capabilities of KocDigital company and its activities in general.
Promotion of digital literacy in the manufacturing sector of Azerbaijan and assessment based on the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) are being implemented within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis and Coordination of Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers of Türkiye.
Memorandum also identifies areas of cooperation, such as the organization of mutual visits, the establishment of intelligent production processes and so on.
