BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. Turkish port of Ambarli handled 9.6 million tons of cargo from January through June 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, 1.5 million tons of cargo was transported by ships under the flag of Türkiye through the port of Ambarli, and 8.1 million tons by ships under the flags of other countries.
"The Turkish port of Ambarli handled 4.7 million tons of transit cargo in the first half of 2022," the ministry added.
The ports of Türkiye handled 197.2 million tons of cargo from January through June 2022.
During the specified period, cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Türkiye through local ports amounted to 13.7 million tons, while by ships under the flags of other countries – 183.4 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 41.59 million tons of transit cargo in the first half of this year.
