BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. The expected expenditures for law enforcement and prosecutor's bodies in Azerbaijan for the next year have been disclosed, Trend reports.
This issue was reflected in the "Preliminary indicators of the state and consolidated budgets for 2024" document prepared by the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan.
The document envisages an allocation of 2.95 billion manat ($1.7 billion) from the 2024 state budget for expenditures related to law enforcement and prosecutor's bodies, accounting for 8.1 percent of the budget.
As many as 2.8 billion manat ($1.6 billion) were forecast to be spent on law enforcement and prosecutor’s bodies from the state budget for 2023.
Thus, spending on law enforcement and prosecutor's bodies for the next year will increase by up to 2.5 percent.
The state budget expenditures for 2024 are projected at 36.3 billion manat or $21.3 billion (30.7 percent of GDP).
