BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12. Azerbaijan's liquids output in 2024 is expected to grow by 15,000 b/d, reaching an average of 0.7 mb/d, Trend reports.
According to the latest outlook provided by OPEC, the anticipated growth is attributed, in part, to developments in the Shah Deniz, Absheron, and Umid-Babek gas condensate projects.
The addition of a seventh Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) platform is expected to boost production in Azerbaijan's ACG oil fields this year.
Looking ahead to 2025, a slight increase of around 10,000 b/d is forecasted, maintaining an average liquids supply of 0.7 mb/d. Production upticks in projects like ACG and Umid-Babek are predicted to offset declines from other mature fields.
Meanwhile, in January, Azerbaijan saw an 8,000 b/d month-on-month decrease in liquids production, hitting an average of 0.6 mb/d. This reflects an 86,000 b/d year-on-year decline. According to official sources, crude production stood at 474,000 b/d, with NGL output at 122,000 b/d.
