BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. Baku Stock Exchange CJSC (BSE) has published financial statements for 2023, Trend reports via BSE.
According to the information, the exchange incurred losses of 367,900 manat ($216,418) last year. Meanwhile, the institution's loss amounted to 256,000 manat ($150,589) in 2022.
During the reporting period, the Exchange's revenues increased by 3 percent and amounted to 2.2 million manat ($1.2 million), while operating expenses decreased by 0.3 percent and amounted to 2.7 million manat ($1.5 million). Thus, BSE's operating loss amounted to 489,200 manat ($287,770).
BSE's total assets decreased by 5.6 percent or 674,300 manat ($396,655) last year compared to the previous year and amounted to 11.2 million manat ($6.5 million), while total liabilities decreased by 8.7 percent or 124,200 manat ($73,060) and amounted to 1.3 million manat ($764,000).
The total capital of BSE amounted to 9.9 million manat ($5.8 million) as of January 1, 2024, which is 5.2 percent or 550,000 manat ($323,538) less than in the previous year.
To note, the Baku Stock Exchange with an authorized capital of 5.04 million manat ($2.9 million) was established on August 27, 1997.
