Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / The monitoring regarding falsification of Procter & Gamble products in Azerbaijani market held by the State Anti-Monopoly Service of the Azerbaijan Economic Development Ministry has covered the entire country, the head of the State Service, Samir Dadashev, said.
The monitoring commenced after an appeal by the company Procter & Gamble. Initial investigations revealed that violations had taken place and therefore they would be continued by the end of the year.
The Anti-Monopoly Service intends to identify the source of the faked products.
According to Dadashev, several monitoring exercises regarding the use of trade marks of well-known manufacturers of electrical equipment, sanitary engineering, construction materials and drinks (Borzhomi, Coca-Cola, etc) have recently been held. "I consider it necessary to take administrative measures with respect to violators of anti-monopoly legislation, as the violations can cause serious consequences. In such violations we file a case, carry out a medical expertise and form a commission to study the facts. Only once that has been carried out that large financial sanctions are imposed upon the violators," he said.
In such cases sanctions make up 10% of the profits and 100% of the income received illegally.
