Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 July / Trend corr U.Ismayilova/ "In June, prices for construction materials in Baku dropped 3.7% from May," public organization Real Estate Market Participants reported on 7 July.
Prices for construction materials have ascended 11.3% since the beginning of the year and 10.49% from the same period of 2007.
According to organization's experts, the main reason for rise in prices for construction materials is increasing world prices for them and expanding transport expenditures during import.
In June, Real Estate Market Participants monitored 84 varieties of 38 construction materials. Prices dropped for 10 varieties within a month, remained stable for 56 varieties, and increased for 15 varieties.
Construction materials manufactured in Azerbaijan comprised 40% of the construction materials available in local market.
