Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, 4 August / Trend corr. R.Mashadihasanli/ Total fossil salt resources in the Jalal-Abad province of Kyrgyzstan exceed 100mln tons, Jalal-Abad administration reported on 1 August.
There are rock salt fields in the Toktogul region (Shamshikal field) and Toguz-Torouz region (Toguz-Torouz field). Open-cut method is used to extract the salt, which is used mainly as forage. A joint venture may be established to produce white salt.
