Ismayilova / "The State Social Security Fund of Azerbaijani (SSSF) has huge data and the fund intends to study experience of other countries about role of information-communication technologies (ICT) in a social maintenance system," Salim Muslimov, head of Social Fund said at a technical workshop on ICT management in social maintenance.
"Application of ICT in social maintenance is more important than in other spheres," he said.
A total of 1.263mln pensioners and about 1.5mln socially insured people are registered in the country presently and SSSF possesses large information about each of them. Information about their personalities, amount of their pensions, terms of their retirement, changes in payment of pensions and their reasons, terms of receiving, status of pensioners and other information is included in database on each registered in the social fund person.
"The system of modern management of ICT is important for processing and archiving of these data in connection with availability of such a large volume of information," Muslimov said.
Implementation of ICT is important for ensuring of justice in social security system as well: each pensioner should receive as many allowances as he invests during all period of his labor activity, he says.
"The Fund has already set up financial and technical terms for development of the system, but we will study experience of other countries for high-quality implementation of ICT in social security," Muslimov said.
A technical workshop on management of information and communication technologies is held by SSSF and International association of social maintenance (MACO) with representatives of 17 member-countries of MACO, including the USA, the Netherlands, Iran, Poland, France, Belgium, Italy and other countries.
The workshop is dedicated to management of ICT in projects of European organizations on social security, as well as familiarization with experience of countries with transitive economics.
Strategic plan of superior league of the International association of social maintenance for 2008- 2010 includes study of the role of ICT in management of social maintenance system.
Strategy of organization implies transfer to modern technologies for simplification of coordination of structures in sphere of social maintenance of population of country.
MACO is a universal international organization, aiming at realization of united world policy in sphere of social maintenance of population.
