Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 October / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova/ Finnish companies are interested in many sectors of the Azerbaijani economy, mainly in the energy sector, Finnish Foreign Trade & Development Minister Paavo Vayrynen sad at the Azerbaijan-Finland business forum on 8 October.
"Finnish companies are especially interested in this sector, for they possess a plenty of know-how," said Minister.
According to Vayrynen, besides this field Finnish companies are also interested in such economic sectors as IT and health in Azerbaijan.
The sum of trade turnover between the two countries has not achieved a considerable level, but it is planned to be dramatically improved once relations between two countries' entrepreneurs are established, said Minister. "The Finnish Government plans not only to attract Finnish entrepreneurs to Azerbaijan but also vice versa."
Azerbaijan-Finland trade turnover totalled $120mln in January to July 2008.
