Place and date determined for meeting of Organization for Cooperation of Railways

Next meeting within Organization for Cooperation of Railways (OSJD) will take place on April 20-24 in Moscow, Nadir Azmammadov, head of press service of State Railway Department of Azerbaijan (SRDA), said on April 7.

"Still we do not have information on the agenda of the meeting," he said.

OSJD is an international organization, created at the ministerial conference on June 28, 1956 in Sofia (Bulgaria). Key goals of the organization are to develop international cargo and passenger transportation, create united railway transport space in the Eurasian region, increase the competitive ability of transcontinental railway directions.

The event will be attended by 27 countries: Azerbaijan, Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Korea, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Rumania, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Estonia.
