Financiers have highest wage in Kazakhstan

Average monthly nominal wage per one employee hit 65,964 tenge ($1 - 150 tenge) in Kazakhstan in March 2009. This amount increased 12.6 percent compared to corresponding month of 2008, the Kazakh statistics agency said. 

"But wage increased 3.4 percent," press-release said.  

According to the agency, the highest wage preserves in the amount of 135,500 tenge (2.1 times more than average level in the Republic), in mining industry - 115,600 tenge ( 1.8 times), in real estate operations  - 101,100 tenge ( 1.6 times), as well as on transport and communication - 87,600 tenge ( 1.3 times).

"Employees working in agriculture and fishing spheres have the lowest wage - 26,700 tenge and 27,800 tenge that 58-60 percent lower than average index in the country," the message said.  

According to the press-release, the highest wage preserve in Atirau district - 129,000 tenge. This index exceeds average wage twice in the country. The amount of wage hits 43,100 tenge in North-Kazakh district, in Zhambil district - 43,200 tenge, Akmolin district - 45,500 tenge that 31-35 percent lower than average level in the country.
