According to forecasts, Azerbaijani motor transport will transport 102.6 million tons in 2010 compared to 95 million tons in 2009, the Azerbaijani state budget draft said. At present, it is under consideration of the Azerbaijani parliament.
This index will hit 110.9 million tons in 2011, 119.9 million tons in 2012, 129.7 million tons - in 2013.
It was forecasted that roughly 25 million tons of freight will be transported by railroad in 2010 compared to 24 million tons in 2009. This index will hit 26 million tons in 2011, 28 million tons in 2012 and 30 million tons in 2013.
Azerbaijani sea transport will transport 14 million tons of freight in 2010 compared to 13.2 million tons in 2009. According to forecasts, about 14.4 million tons will be transported by ship in 2011, 15 million tons in 2012 and 15.4 million tons in 2013.
Roughly 0.04 million tons of freights will be transported by air in 2010, compared to 0.03 million tons in 2009. Freight transported by air will increase in 2011, 2012 and 2013. It will hit 0.05, 0.06 and 0.07 million tons accordingly.
The Baku International Sea Trade Port intends to pump 6 million tons of freight in 2010 compared to 5.7 million tons per year. The port will pump 6.4 million tons in 2011, 6.8 million tons in 2012 and 7.2 million tons in 2013.
About 7.6 million tons of freight are planned to be transported via TRACECA transport corridor through Azerbaijan in 2010 compared to 6.5 million tons in 2009. This index will hit 8.9 million tons in 2011, 10.4 million tons in 2012 and 12.2 million tons in 2013.
