Georgia will begin complete governmental control over enterprises engaged in exports to the EU from July 1 based on the new food safety law. An informational meeting and dialogue between government and business representatives was held on the issue this week in Tbilisi.
The event was organized by the IFC together with the prime minister and the National Service for Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection.
The IFC helps Georgian food producers to obtain information on new rules of inspection.
