The U.S. Exim Bank enters the Georgian market for the first time and starts with funding of energy projects, the Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri told journalists.

The U.S. Exim Bank enters the Georgian market for the first time and starts with funding of energy projects, the Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri told journalists.

"These projects will include construction of a plant for natural gas liquefaction on the Black Sea coast," Khetaguri said.

Khetaguri with Prime Minister Nika Gilauri is on a working visit to the United States.

Gilauri held talks with the U.S. Exim Bank's leadership. The sides agreed that a memorandum will be concluded, which should help to attract private U.S. investment to Georgia.

"The memorandum will be concluded between the Georgian Government and financial corporation Exim Bank, Khetaguri said.
