Uzbekistan intends to implement a microbus production project with the German Volkswagen AG, a governmental source told Trend.
The interlocutor said that at present, the details and the conditions have not been defined. The preliminary negotiations are held with Wolkswagen about the possibility of establishing production of microbuses.
"We expect the project will be completed by late 2011," a source said.
The Uzbek-American JV GM Uzbekistan operates in the automotive industry in Uzbekistan, producing seven.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2010 the car plant increased production of cars by 6.2 percent, up to 217,733 compared to 2009.
