Tsentrpromeksport and the Indian Birla Holding have signed a memorandum providing for the delivery 10,000 tons of potash and 15,000 tons of urea to India in 2011, the Uzbek company told Trend on Friday.
The estimated cost of supplies will be $ 12 million.
Based on the Uzbek State Statistics Committee's data, Uzbekistan produced 1.135 million tons of mineral fertilizers (up by 5.7 percent compared to 2009) and 623,100 tons (increased by 111. 8 percent on-year-on) in January-June 2011.
Exports of chemical products grew by 12.9 percent - up to $665 million in 2010.
Uzkhimprom reported that some 89.3 percent of total exports fell to mineral fertilizers. The main buyer of fertilizers is China.
The Uzbek-Indian trade turnover rose by 21.1 percent, amounting to $153 million in 2010.
