Finance ministry: Kyrgyzstan’s budget revenues to increase in 2012

According to the forecasts of the Kyrgyz Finance Ministry, the national budget revenues will increase to 11.3 billion soms in 2012, KirTag reported with reference to the department under the Kyrgyz Finance Ministry Bekbolotov Aliyev said on Tuesday.

"It is planned to increase budget revenues to 88.6 billion soms within the ministry's task for 2012," he said. "The figure hits 27.8 percent of GDP. The budget revenues will increase by 11.3 billion soms compared to last year."

However, despite the optimistic predictions, there are risks of not transferring certain funds to the republican budget.

"The draft budget for 2012 was made taking into account the fact that new initiatives on fiscal policy will be implemented," he said. "It is planned that this will bring 6.5 billion soms of taxes and various fees to the budget. However, the bills must be approved by the Parliament."
