The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan continues work on the automation of its operations, government's report on the outcome of 2011 presented to the parliament said.
The State Customs Committee provides receipt of all customs payments through banks or plastic cards. Now in order to simplify this process work continues towards receiving customs payments through the Internet and banking services in the customs areas.
In order to increase efficiency and transparency of services provided by the customs authorities, to determine the sequence of admission of those requesting, at all major customs directorates and customs offices with a large amount of customs operations a system of e-management "electronic turn" is used. Work on the application of the system in other customs offices is underway.
