Berlin hosts conference on Turkmen-EU cooperation

A two-day international conference ‘Turkmenistan-Europe: prospects for cooperation’ started in Berlin on March 14

A two-day international conference 'Turkmenistan-Europe: prospects for cooperation' started in Berlin on March 14, the Turkmen State nation news agency reported.

The forum was organized with participation of the Turkmen Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the partnership with the European Union.

The Turkmen governmental delegation, as well as heads and specialists of heads and representatives of the Turkmen Oil and Gas Institute take part in the forum.

Moreover, representatives of such world-famous companies as Exxonmobil, Eni, CNPS, Petronas, Burried Hill, RWE Dea AG, Wintershall Holding GmbH, Itera, and the European Commission, the Energy Charter Treaty and the U.S. State Department attend the forum.

At the plenary sessions of the first day of the conference, the Forum participants exchanged views on rising the prospects of the Turkmen fuel and energy complex, investment opportunities in this area and possibilities for Turkmen hydrocarbon raw materials supplies to the world markets.

Moreover, opportunities for mutually advantageous cooperation in priority areas of the Turkmen oil and gas industry were discussed at numerous bilateral meetings held between the heads of Turkmenistan's fuel and energy complex and the heads of well-known foreign companies within the conference.
