The 25th meeting of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Kazakhstan will be held on Tuesday in Astana under the chairmanship of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan said.
"The theme of the meeting is Kazakhstan - International trade, logistics, business and financial hub," the ministry said.
Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev and President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Thomas Mirow will be the main speakers of the 25th meeting of the Foreign Investors Council.
The speeches of leaders of the Asian Development Bank, Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation, ArcelorMittal, Sberbank of Russia, BG Group, GE Transportation is also planned.
Issues related to the main theme of the meeting and other important issues in the field of investment cooperation will be discussed during the meeting. The ceremony of awarding the winners of Best Foreign Investor in Kazakhstan - 2012 will be held upon completion of the main part of the meeting.
Foreign Investors Council is an advisory body, in the frame of which the issues of investment and the investment climate in Kazakhstan are discussed. The Council with the foreign party includes 30 major foreign companies and international organizations.
