The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Jenisbek Jumanbekov on completion of his term as Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS).
The representative of the Chinese side appointed next Director of Executive Committee of Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of SCO from located in Tashkent January 1, 2013 in accordance with the decision of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States.
SCO includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Regional Antiterrorist Structure is a permanent organ of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, established to facilitate coordination and cooperation among the competent authorities of the - the SCO member states in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism. In its activities the RATS is guided by documents and decisions adopted within SCO. RATS interacts with the competent authorities of the parties and prepares the relevant materials at the request of other authorities of the SCO.
