Kazakhstan increases metallurgic production

Kazakhstan increased production of copper, aluminum, ferroalloys and other metallurgic output in January 2016, the website of Statistics Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy said Feb. 17.

Refined copper production increased by 7.2 percent to 34,320 tons in January 2016 compared to the same period in 2015.

Production of raw aluminum has increased by 2.7 percent to 145,580 tons.

Production of unprocessed zinc fell by 0.3 percent to 27,590 tons.

Production of refined lead rose by 21.3 percent to 11,840 tons. Production of non-ferrous metals and products from them in January 2016 increased by 26.1 percent to 1,820 tons compared to January 2015.

Production of ferroalloys has increased by 0.7 percent to 149,640 tons.

Production of crude steel has increased by 36.6 percent to 352,440 tons, production of flat rolled steel - by one percent to 199,840 tons.
