Uzbekistan's president signed the decree on measures for accelerated development of the fat and oil industry, which approves a Road Map for the development of the industry.
The Road Map stipulates expansion of the resource base for production of fat and oil products.
The document notes that production capacities are not fully tapped, and the needs of the population are not met due to a lack of raw materials.
In this regard, it is proposed to use alternative oilseeds and to modernize the equipment at fat-and-oil enterprises.
