By Azad Hasanli - Trend:

Bahraini advisory services company BCGCM is interested in creating an investment fund in Azerbaijan, Elshan Rahimov, chairman of the Association for Cooperation of Azerbaijan and Arab Countries, told Trend April 9.

This issue was discussed during the recent visit of the association’s executive director Yalchin Aliyev to Bahrain, where he met with Khalid Ali Salem, managing director of BCGCM.

Rahimov said that during the visit, various meetings were held with local entrepreneurs and government representatives.

“Bahrain shows considerable interest in developing relations and expanding investments in Azerbaijan,” he noted. “In particular, BCGCM wants to help turn Azerbaijan into a financial center of the region. Azerbaijan has a very favorable geographical location at the intersection of the East and the West and this is a great advantage that helps in attraction of new investments.”

Rahimov reminded that the first Azerbaijani-Arab investment and business forum will be held in Baku in early May. He added that BCGCM representatives plan to visit Azerbaijan and take part in the event.

“BCGCM plans to continue discussions on the creation of an investment fund in Azerbaijan as part of the visit,” Rahimov said.
